Dying Light Review (GameWatcher)

Added: 04.02.2015 9:10 | 26 views | 0 comments

From GameWatcher.com: "Dead Island was a great idea in search of a great game. An open world first-person zombie apocalypse co-op melee/shooter where the zombies are tough and its just as fun to play single-player as online? Sign me up! Trouble is it ended up really repetitive, not much fun in single-player, and buggy as hell. In short, it did not deserve that Game of the Year Edition. This year we have two attempts to rectify that mistake. Dead Island 2 comes out later in the year and has a new developer in the form of Yager, whereas Dead Islands developer Techland (who also made the mostly-excellent Call of Juarez series dont forget) have started a new franchise with Dying Light. Lets hope we get that great game at last.".

Dying Light review | entertainment buddha

entertainment buddha: "Dying Light was made by the same company who made Dead Island as many of you know and yes the similarities are very clear. The zombie types, weapon mods, and RPG elements are all very reminiscent of Dead Island, but by no means are they the same. If anything, Dying Light is an improvement from Dead Islands more colorful arcade style action. With that said, Techland has a great title on their hands with this one and although the story and parkour may not be perfectly polished, its definitely set a new standard for zombie survival games for future developers."

Dying Light Review: Failed To Reach Its True Potential, A Step Back From Dead Island | Gamepur

Added: 02.02.2015 10:10 | 5 views | 0 comments

GP: This is a game that just doesnt reach its true potential. In many areas its a step back from Dead Island where the fun gameplay is held back from the seriousness of whats happening and the harsh reality they have tried to set up.

Dying Light review - alt-tab

Added: 02.02.2015 10:10 | 9 views | 0 comments

alt-tab.gr:"Nobody can deny that the Dying Light, resembling very much their predecessors. The combat and Crafting refers particularly to Dead Island as the whole theme of the game. It was partly correct to say that the whole title saves the Parkour element, but not only that. The game can keep you and forcing you to roll over the year. It is pleasant, large and offers many hours of entertainment. The Techland seems to be learned from past mistakes and introduced new delectable items at the most recent title. I highly recommend the Co-op with friends especially if you want to try a night out in Harram. And for those of us who can not play all day to make Scavenge and collect items, there's Companion App for our mobile with which we send Scouts in missions and they collect money and items. These then we can ship them to our account on Steam and receive them from someone Quartermaster ."

Added: 02.02.2015 9:10 | 9 views | 0 comments

Jamie Laike Tsui of Capsule Computers writes: "Dying Light is the third zombie FPS from Techland, the developers behind Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide. Dying Light takes the melee zombie FPS gameplay from Techlands previous titles and mixes it with a new free running mechanic. The game is set in the fictional city of Harran, Turkey. The city is under quarantine after a virus triggers a zombie outbreak in the middle of an international athletics competition. Kyle Crane parachutes into the city in hopes of recovering a vital document in the hands of a rogue element."

Dying Light review - God Is A Geek

Added: 02.02.2015 9:10 | 5 views | 0 comments

God is a Geek: "A solid, commendable effort from Techland, Dying Light manages to save all the best bits from Dead Island and mix them with some truly excellent terrain traversal, a compelling if unoriginal narrative, and surprisingly deep character progression. While it perpetuates most of Dead Islands mistakes as well, the trade-off is a zombie game that gets it right much more often than it gets it wrong, and stands out in the developers stable as Techlands first true blockbuster."

Dying Light vs Dead Island: Similarities And Dissimilarities

Added: 02.02.2015 7:10 | 21 views | 0 comments

With Dying Light recently launched, you might find the game holds some similarities to the Dead Island series. This shouldn't be much of a surprise as the development of both the original Dead Island and Dying Light comes from Techland. The development company first created Dead Island video game but gave the rights to Deep Silver as it was the only deal that development team could get at the time. After the two companies ran into disagreements about the future of the Dead Island series, Techland decided to leave development of Dead Island 2 and start work on Dying Light.
